Jones-Hill House, University of Maryland

About This Project

Jones-Hill House was a recipient of the 2021 Distinguished Multi-Field Facility award from the American Sports Builders Association. Jones-Hill House is part of the practice facility for the University of Maryland Football team. SCG Fields was responsible for the complete construction of the playing field system for two new natural grass, sand-based practice fields from subgrade up. This included fine grading, subdrainage, irrigation system, gravel drainage layer, special panel drainage system over a portion of one field that was constructed over a parking garage structure, rootzone layer, sod surfacing, goal post systems, netting systems, and a synthetic turf area at one end of one field adjacent to the building.
