About This Project

OhioHealth Performance Center, the Columbus Crew SC Training Facility, was the recipient for the 2022 Multi-Field Facility of the Year award from the American Sports Builders Association. SCG’s role in this project was the general contractor, and SCG self-preformed the field construction for all three fields and the goalie flex area. SCG preformed all fine grading and installed all liners, fabrics, drainage materials, field heating components, stone and rootzone materials, sod, netting systems, synthetic turf base and turf, and provided grow-in maintenance on all new sod. The construction of these new playing fields were conducted simultaneously with the construction of the Crew’s new, state-of-the-art locker room and training center facility. Close coordination and cooperation throughout the project were necessary for all trades to be successful.
